Explore our options for eyelash extensions below from classic to mega volume! We offer eyelash extensions to Mt. Pleasant and Greater Charleston, SC.
Classic Eyelash Extensions
Classic lashes are one lash extension applied to one natural lash only, therefore if you only have 50 suitable natural lashes per eye, then you will only achieve a look of 50 eyelash extensions, whereas if you have 100 natural lashes per eye then you will achieve a look of 100 extensions per eye.
Classic lashes are suitable for the following client:
- Clients that have a good amount of healthy natural lashes
- Clients that are younger and have few gaps in their lash line
- Clients that desire a natural/medium effect
Russian Volume Eyelash Extensions
Russian Volume is the use of multiple ultra fine eyelash extensions, that are hand created at the time of application by the therapist using their specially designed tweezers. The therapist skillfully creates bouquets of eyelash extensions that are then placed onto the natural lash in a fanned effect, to create extra fluff, coverage and fullness than cannot be created with classic extensions. Although we use multiple extensions, the fan is still placed onto one individually isolated natural lash in a method that encases the natural lash, and results in great retention with zero damage.
Russian Volume is a technique developed in Russia. It is the use of ultra-fine extensions (0.05, 0.06, 0.07 ), that are picked up in a “multiple lash pickup” technique, to create a “fan” or “bouquet” of eyelash extensions. These are then applied to the natural lash to give a fuller look than can be created with Classic lashes, where we can only apply one extension to one natural lash (i.e 0.10, 0.12, 0.15,).
The use of these “ultra fine” lashes allows us to keep the lash weight light, yet still create added volume, and with the fan or bouquet effect we can create extra fluff and coverage to give that “volume” effect that our clients desire.
The level of volume that we use can vary, depending on the look desired by the client, as well as what their natural lashes can safely support – so although we have the ability to create more volume, we must always ensure that we do not overload the natural lashes and cause damage.
Mega Volume Eyelash Extensions
The art of MEGA volume is a highly skilled technique that is an advanced upgrade from the Russian volume technique. The application of MEGA volume requires a different technique to ensure that each volume fan has perfect balance for the health of the natural lash and improved retention. Creation of MEGA volume requires precise and perfectly spaced fans for that extra dense and precision effect, with the use of the thinnest volume extension available to the industry.
Mega volume lashes are very similar to the traditional volume lashes we know. The difference between mega volume and traditional volume is how many lash extensions are being used to create the fan and the diameter of the extensions in the fan. A set of traditional volume lashes uses .07 extensions to create a fan with up to 5 eyelash extensions.
Mega volume sets use .05 and .03 lash extensions to create a fan with up to 16 eyelash extensions. With mega volume, you can apply up to 16 extensions on one natural lash. That is MEGA for sure.
Wispy Look Effect
Wispy eyelash extensions (Kim K lashes), is a trending style created by combining different fans of 2-6 lash extensions. Closed fans are used to create the spikes and between them, 2D to 6D fans are inserted to add density and volume – which gives the appearance of a Strip Lash look.
Wispy lashes are gaining traction because they look fluffy and feathery, so very natural. They are perfect for people who prefer a dramatic, makeup look and eyelashes that stand out.
Wet Look Effect
This creates the effect of “stuck together from the water" lashes as if you had just left the shower or the sea (the second option, of course, is more romantic).
It is a bit like the Kim effect, when we use long rays, only in this case they are also undisclosed and are placed on all lashes.
The wet lash look is created by using narrow, almost closed volume fans.
This look is great for creating texture and it perfectly matches the dewy skin look.
The wet effect is great, but unfortunately, it won't suit clients if:
- they have curly lashes
- their eyelashes grow straight or down
- their eyelashes are very thin or grow unevenly

For anyone with natural eyelashes, false lashes are a great way to enhance your natural look. It is a small change with a large impact, allowing you to have a seemingly-natural and sexy look all day from the moment you wake up. No matter if you prefer full glam or minimal makeup, are a bride-to-be or just want them for day-to-day, lash extensions make your peepers pop for a look that is unforgettable.
Your appointment will begin with a consultation where your lash artist determine the look you desire. You will then be reclined with your eyes closed while the lash stylist applies the lashes individually onto your own natural lashes with a safe and high quality adhesive.
Depending on the desired look, the entire lash application process can take anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hours for a full set.
With proper care, your new eyelashes can last up to 8 weeks. You will want to avoid exposing your lashes to dirt, oil, and immersing them in water for an extended period of time. We will give you more specific instructions and tips at the time of your service.
Eyelash extensions should not hurt when applied correctly. They are applied with professional tools by isolating one lash, and adhering one extension to your natural lash for classic lashes or fans for volume lashes. Most Lash Artists put on under eye gel pads to prevent discomfort and aid in application. It is important to go to a trusted Lash Artist who was certified through a reputable course as this will ensure that they are applying the correct weight and length of lashes to your natural lash.
Eyelash extensions can be applied to look anyway that you desire. Most reputable lash artists will be able to give you your desired look. You can choose to have shorter natural lashes, large dramatic lashes, etc. Typically speaking, eyelash extensions don’t look fake unless that is the look that you are going for.
Most eyelash extension adhesives have a bond time of anywhere from 4-8 weeks. However, they will only last as long as your natural lash does. Like all hair on the human body, your eyelashes grow in stages. It is normal to lose 1-5 natural lashes per day which is why a fill is recommended every 2-4 weeks.
When applied correctly, eyelash extensions do not damage your natural lash. Certified lash artists will apply to only one natural lash, and will apply an extension that is the appropriate weight and length to ensure the integrity of your natural lash. Eyelash extensions can be damaging if your lash artist is not using proper techniques. Lashes that are too heavy, or clusters (pre-made fans) have a larger amount of adhesive and can cause your natural lash to break.
Yes. But one of the main advantages of lash extensions is never needing to apply mascara. However, you should use only water-based mascara but never use waterproof mascara on eyelash extensions.
You most definitely can wear make-up with your eyelash extensions. However, steer clear away from any products with oil as they can be harmful to the glue that keeps the artificial lashes attached to your natural ones. When removing your makeup, use an oil-free makeup remover and avoid your lash line completely. Use a cosmetic sponge to remove the makeup rather than a cotton ball or pad, which can leave cotton residue stuck in your lashes.
Yes, however salt water and chlorine will slowly begin to break down the adhesive. The best way to avoid this is to wash your lashes directly after swimming, preferably with a lash cleanser but if not just rinse them off with clean water.
